Among those that were read: Matthew 6:33, Isaiah 40:31, Philippians 4:13, and 2 Timothy 1:12.
Pastor Paine continued with Psalms 37:3, 5; Trust in the Lord, and do

better to trust in God than in man.
Isaiah 26:4, Psalms
31:19, Psalms 32:10, Psalms 34:22, and Psalms 125:1 are all exhortations
to trust God.
Paul prayed that the thorn in his flesh would be
removed, but God intended
for that thorn to help keep him from trusting in himself; making it
easier for him to trust God.

dumb because he didn't trust in God.
