“Trust In the Lord”

Proverbs 3:5-7 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart...

Pastor Paine then asked for volunteers to share their favorite verses that dealt with trusting God.
Among those that were read:  Matthew 6:33, Isaiah 40:31, Philippians 4:13, and 2 Timothy 1:12.

Pastor Paine continued with Psalms 37:3, 5; Trust in the Lord, and do good...

Psalms 91:1 ...shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Colossians 2:8 a warning not to listen to philosophy or vain deceit ...

Psalms 118:8 ...because it is better to trust in God than in man.

Isaiah 26:4Psalms 31:19, Psalms 32:10, Psalms 34:22, and 
Psalms 125:1 are all exhortations to trust God.

Paul prayed that the thorn in his flesh would be removed, but God intended for that thorn to help keep him from trusting in himself; making it easier for him to trust God.

Isaiah 26:3 instructions for having perfect peace.

Luke 1:20 Zacharias was struck dumb because he didn't trust in God.

Matthew 17:19-20 faith as a grain of mustard seed.

Acts 5:1-11  Ananias and Sapphira didn't trust God with their needs, and decided that they had to lie about their situation.

Acts 10:1  Cornelius and Peter both trusted God, even though neither one of them knew the whole story.
