“Conference Review” By George Homes August 29th,
2010
The
fifth Sunday of the month is traditionally a worship service Sunday,
with no
sermon, but George felt that many people would be disappointed if there
were no
Scriptures in service, so he did a little review of the International
Conference
in Let me start with a little story: When I was young, I was excited about going to school. I finished up my breakfast, and I ran out the door. My mom yelled out, “Wait!” and I came back in. She said, “Put on a jacket; it’s cold outside.” So, I put on my jacket and ran out the door again. My mom yelled out, “Wait!” and I came back in again. She said, “You forgot your lunch.” So, I grabbed my lunch and ran out the door again. My mom yelled out, “Wait!” and I came back in, again. She gave me a hug and a kiss, and told me to behave at school. I walked out the door this time, but I thought about it and I knew that I was protected from the cold, I had food to eat, and that I was loved. Matthew 28:18-20 …All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth…
