As we come today to the end of the month, we find ourselves at the “Praise and Worship” Sunday.  It seems like every Sunday has been a Praise and Worship Sunday, rich and overflowing.  And as we wrap up this month of Spirit-filled messages, it has been a month of messages centered around, “Is My Faith Enough?”

The first Sunday of the month, Parish Lee shared about hoe Jeremiah doubted that he had the ability to do God’s will, but God told him, “Say not, I am a child.

Parrish also shared how the world by wisdom knew not God…  So-called geniuses deny the existence of God…

1 Corinthians 1:21      …the world by wisdom knew not God…

Titus 2:7          In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works…

Strengthen yourselves with God and the people.  Strengthen yourselves with God’s leadership…  Parrish closed with:  The God of Abraham, the God of Moses, the God of David, and the God of Joshua is still the same.  He is the God of Brother Kenneth and Jennifer Ray, the God of Bill and Becky Adams, the God of Andy and Sonia Giebler, the God of George and Zena Holmes, the God of Ken and Abby Avellino, the God of Jim and Yvette Martin, the God of Donna Ferguson, the God of Vince Stepchuk, and the God of Don and Ann Skinner.

The second Sunday of the month, George Holmes asked the question, "Is my faith enough?" And he answered it, “No.”  He said that we can’t take our faith and sit on it.

 2 Peter 1:5-7   Add to your faith…

Faith is enough to support virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, and charity.

George talked about Jeff Lynch taking a stand at a parade in Zion.  That took moral courage, like Daniel in the lion’s den.  Afterwards, people came over and thanked Jeff for taking a stand.  Faith will die if we don’t put it to work.  We may be the only Bible some people will ever read.

2 Peter 1:8      For if these things be in you and abound…

Last Sunday, Pastor Wilson shared about light and darkness.

Psalms 119:105          Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

The Word of God is a light source.  Light and truth are not an accident.  He talked about trees standing tall and giving praise to God who made it, and yet a vine covers more ground.  It cannot be that chaos and confusion cause such purpose and life.  God cannot be dismissed, discounted, or disproved.

 Final Notes:

Romans 1:20   For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen…

This verse is personal to me.  It was the first Scripture that I ever memorized.  I remember the look of pride on my pastor’s face at the time, and I was thankful to have been able to make my pastor proud.

Galatians 2:20                        …I live by the faith of the Son of God…

Ephesians 4:5              One Lord, one faith, one baptism.

Matthew 13:31-32       mustard seed…least of all seeds: but, when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs

Faith is growing because Jesus is alive.  I thank God for what He’s given us this month.

In conclusion, if there is a problem with faith in your life, it’s not from a lack on God’s part.  Ask, seek, and you will receive from God more and more of His faith in you.
