Brief Testimony:  Baptized October 29, 1979!!  I was a very quiet person, didn’t like crowds, didn’t have too many friends, didn’t know how to talk, or didn’t know even to start a conversation, all I did was go to school, and fish.  I was taught the Plan B method… If something needed to be done or something that didn’t go well, you went to Plan B:  Brandy, Beer & Booze, this was the way of life “Scotch & Brandy”

Psalms 115:1 – 8        They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they…

I was just like this statue … One night in December 1978, I cried out to God and ask “Is there more in life then getting married, having kids and dying?”  I was at the lowest point of my life…  There was something that I was searching for burning within me, I climbed Pine Mountain in the Spring to seek answers from God, and on October 29, 1979, I was baptized in Jesus name

Ephesians 1:17 - 18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened…

My eyes of my understanding were open, and God answered my prayer that I prayed in December 1978.  He counted me faithful, by putting me into this ministry…. God answered prayer, I was praying for a life in Christ and Pastor Davis was praying that God would send more laborers.  100 proof now – no more Plan B – put new wine in new bottle.  I was still having trouble talking and sharing with people, then one night…  God spoke to me in a church service through Pastor Davis:  “You see the doors that I have open unto you, you go through them and you get nervous and you don’t what to say, you have doubt, you don’t doubt that I am Lord, … you doubt in yourself, I will put the words in thy mouth what you shall say and what you shall speak”

1 Timothy 1:12           And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me…

Now I am Running the Race…

Hebrews 12:1 - 3let us run with patience the race that is set before us...

We need to run the race…

Baseball           – 9 players on the field

Football           – 11 players on the field

Basketball       – 5 players on the court

Swimming Teams        - 1 – 4

Tennis - 1 – 2 players

Auto Racer      1 driver

Winter Olympics

Horse Riders – 1 rider

Ice Skaters      -           1 -2

Hockey            – 6 players on the ice

Volleyball        2 to 8 players on the court

Relay Races – 1 to 4 or more on the track

My question is:  How many people are involved in these teams to support and see the players succeed?  There are CEO’s, coaches, asst. coaches, owners, support teams, cheerleaders, water people, those that clean the court, the list goes on and one to see there team achieve there goal of winning the championship.  Don’t forget the Fans.

The expression is, “It takes a whole village to raise a child.”  The Church Family to help take and raise each other; we just had a baby dedication.  That one child that goes through the school system:  Pre-School, High School, and then Graduation.  How many people are involved to see this child succeed?  There are teachers, other students, janitors, cafeteria staff, school nurse…   Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, the list goes on and on.

In your work place:  (Navy or Civilian)  How many people are involve to support you so you can do you job that is required of you. Owner, other employee, employer, HR Dept, Payroll this list goes on and on.  What I am trying to say here, is, Bottom Line: We need everyone to support the Building of the Kingdom of God

Something new happened!!  Different type of administration!  New sheriff in town!!

Pastor Davis is the Apostle of this ministry that God gave him charge over….

Bishop Pastor Paine is over seer of the ministry now

Pastor Wilson became the Local Pastor

Every one of them had a different style of teaching, preaching, administering; none of them were alike at all.  Also, every one of them ran the race holding onto the baton and then handed it off to the next person….

The baton was handed off to Brother Kenneth & Jennifer, & Ginger.  God showed Pastor Davis a dove flying through the buildings many years ago in this area of the country… if the Word of God is true, which it is, God’s word does not return void.  There is still a GREAT work here to do…  A new style:  Brother Kenneth is sharing with all of us to baton, and that we can all run the race.  The gun has already been fired!!  We should be all running!!  Now what do we do as a family?   Those that went on are not coming back…

2 Timothy 4:1 - 5        I charge thee therefore before God…

I am going to break down this scripture line per line …….

God has charged us….. Preach,  be instant in season out of season,

reprove (Of uncertain affinity; to confuteadmonish:—convict, convince, tell a fault, rebuke, reprove.),

rebuke (to tax upon, that is, censure or admonish; by implication forbid:—(straitly) charge, rebuke.)

exhort (beseech, call for, (be of good) comfort, desire, (give) exhort (-ation), intreat, pray.) with

longsuffering and doctrine,  and to watch all thing, endure affliction, work of an evangelist, make full proof of the ministry -  100% proof

1 Timothy 4:11 - 16    Let no man despise thy youth…

Jesus has app for everything you could possibly need.  I don’t know how to do that!  Jesus has an App. for that!!  I don’t know what to say!  Jesus has an App. for that!!  Jesus has an App for everything that we go through…  Take hold of the baton and run the race along the side of our leadership…  If you don’t know Kenneth, Jennifer & Ginger, then spend time with them.  If you don’t know what the leadership wants, then spend time with them

This is the beginning of May 2010; I’m hearing great reports of the fellowship times outside of church times…  Coffee shops, restaurants, outings, etc.

Recap & Closing thought:  God laid it on my heart to share my testimony, because I know that I am not alone when it comes to talk with people and to conversations starters…

The Story about the Gazelle & the Lion

Every morning in Africa a lion wakes up. It knows that it has to outrun the slowest gazelle or he'll starve to death. Every morning in Africa a gazelle wakes up.  It knows that it has to outrun the fastest lion or it'll be killed.  So, whether you're a lion or a gazelle, when that sun comes up ….. You’d better be running!!

OTHERS NOTE: 30, 60, or 100 fold – you still need to give 100%
